Co-Founder

A Presbyterian Church (USA) Teaching Elder and transitional minister who has worked with churches in three denominations. Jeff is inspired by InterPlay, an improvisational movement practice that is based in affirmation, and that integrates body, mind, heart, and spirit.

Amy Shoemaker
Co-Founder

is a Spiritual Director and InterPlay Leader who loves to DANCE! She grew up in Kansa City and travels there regularly to feed her need for good BBQ… And to see family.

Angelina Alvarez
Guiding Council Member, Minister of Mindfulness

Angelina grew up in Richmond, CA and graduated from the San Francisco Art Institute with a BFA in Photography. Shortly after graduation, she discovered transcendental meditation. After two years of meditation practice, Angelina now lives a healing lifestyle and teaches others to do the same.

Soyinka Rahim
Guiding Council Member, Minister of Music

Soyinka Rahim, your Grassroots Spiritual Practitioner, was born and raised in Oakland, California in an Afrocentric family that explored holistic thinking, power to the people, the world’s religions, and many different art forms. Soyinka has channeled her experiences in dance, music, theater, poetry and song into facilitating movement, storytelling and ritual with diverse groups of children and adults in the U.S. and abroad.

Joy Barnitz
Guiding Council Member, Minister of the Labyrinth

Joy Barnitz is an experienced workshop leader and invited speaker. She holds a Master of Divinity and Certificate of Swedenborgian Theology from the Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA.  A past council president of the San Francisco Swedenborgian Church, she has experience managing transitions in religious organizations with a focus on leadership, program development and fundraising for preservation of sacred spaces.  Joy is a Certified Veriditas Labyrinth Facilitator.

Geoff Desa
Guiding Council Member, Minister of Strategy and Development

Geoff Desa is an assistant professor of management in the College of Business at San Francisco State University. He is a member of the Sustainability Group within the College of Business and teaches business & society, strategic management, and social entrepreneurship.
